Biography
Laura L. Adams is a Senior Advisor at the National Academy of Medicine, where she leads initiatives in digital health and evidence mobilisation. With deep expertise in biotech and human-centered care, she serves on multiple boards and advisory councils, including T2 Biosystems and Translational Medicine Accelerator, and Inflammatix. Previously, Laura was the founding President and CEO of the Rhode Island Quality Institute, where she spearheaded statewide health information exchange efforts and earned national recognition as a leading woman in health IT.
Laura has held leadership roles in healthcare innovation, served as faculty for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and contributed to global quality improvement efforts, including in the Middle East. Her work has earned numerous awards for innovation, wellness, and impact—particularly in behavioral health and the opioid crisis.
