Biography

Professor David Lowe is an Emergency Medicine Consultant at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and a Professor at the University of Glasgow. He leads the Digital Health Validation Lab (dhvl.org) within the Living Lab supporting the creation of evidence from concept to clinic for healthtech with a focus on AI and devices.

David brings deep expertise in real-world data, clinical AI development, and healthcare system innovation. His work bridges clinical insight, academic research, and entrepreneurial drive, placing patients at the centre of technology-enabled transformation.

At CERSI-AI, David contributes his extensive experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating digital and AI solutions across NHS systems. His leadership supports our mission to develop robust, evidence-based regulatory frameworks that enable scalable, safe innovation.

David Chairs our CERSI-AI Project Prioritisation Committee and we’re delighted to have his clinical insight, research expertise, and system-level perspective guiding the work of CERSI-AI.
