Biography

Professor Ibrahim Habli is Professor of Safety-Critical Systems at the University of York, specialising in the design and assurance of software-intensive systems, with a strong focus on AI and autonomy.

His research is deeply interdisciplinary, involving collaborations with ethicists, lawyers, clinicians and social scientists. He is Director of the £16M UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Safe AI Systems (SAINTS), and Research Director of the Centre for Assuring Autonomy, a £10M programme supported by Lloyd’s Register Foundation.

Ibrahim’s work brings world-class thinking on AI assurance into the heart of CERSI AI’s regulatory vision.
